FAQ – Frequently asked questions about your stay
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM, and on the day of departure your room is available until 11:00 AM.
From 3:00 PM, you can easily check in via our terminal at the main entrance. Simply enter your last name or booking number. If your room has not yet been paid for online, you can pay directly at the terminal by debit or credit card. You will receive your room key immediately on site. One day before your arrival, we will also send you an email with all the important information. And if you do have a question, you can reach us by phone at any time.
There is a large parking lot behind the hotel that our guests can use free of charge. No reservation is required. The entrance is signposted and is located on Langenbrahmstraße.
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel—in the rooms as well as in the foyer or conservatory.
You can reach the Messe on foot in about 15 minutes. Many of our guests especially appreciate this proximity, as it allows them to walk to the trade fair in the morning and return to the greenery in the evening without any detours.
We serve breakfast in the conservatory or on the terrace. We offer milk, eggs, cold cuts, and cheese exclusively in organic quality. We source most of our fruit and vegetables from the region. In addition to classic options, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices are also available.
We are on site daily from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and are happy to assist our guests at any time during these hours. After 3:00 PM, we are always personally available to our hotel guests by phone.
You can find us at Wiedfeldtstraße 23 in the Essen-Bredeney district—quietly located yet well connected.
By car, you can easily reach us via the A52. The “Essen-Rüttenscheid” exit is just a few minutes away. A free parking lot is available behind the hotel; no reservation is required.
If you arrive by public transport, the “Alfredusbad” tram stop is within walking distance (approx. 200 m). From there, you can reach Essen Central Station in just a few minutes and continue on to the city center or other destinations in the Ruhr area.
Düsseldorf Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away by car, making it easy to reach.
All upper floors are accessible by elevator. If you have any special requirements, please let us know in advance so we can check which room is best suited.
Dogs are very welcome and are charged a €15.00 surcharge on the room rate. For guests with pet hair allergies, we want to guarantee a room that has never been entered by a dog. We therefore ask that you let us know about your dog by phone or email.
In every room category, we have designated dog-friendly rooms with particularly short access to the forest.
In addition to the dog-friendly rooms, we of course also offer rooms that have never been entered by a pet. All hotel rooms have allergy-friendly woven vinyl flooring. We also provide special allergy-friendly duvets and pillows on request.
We are happy to prepare everything you need for a relaxed stay—from a cot and bed rail to a bottle warmer. Both a baby cot (up to 1 year) and a children’s bed (up to 3 years) can be set up in every room category and are free of charge.
In some of the large double rooms, we can also set up an extra bed for older children. This is charged at a €30.00 surcharge on the room rate.
Children up to six years old have breakfast free of charge. Breakfast is half price for children up to 12 years old.
